Shake the World uses public health principles to improve the health of communities in Honduras. Founded in the U.S., the organization organizes health projects in the area of El Porvenir, Honduras.

Shake the World Health aims to provide a variety of initiatives to improve the health of Honduran communities. Our current main project is health education classes for adolescents but we are working toward expansions to other programs as well.

NEWS
2025
Our most recent Knowledge is Power (KIP) Program finished Feb 1, 2025 with Keyla Padilla Oro and Reyna Obando serving as our lead and assistant teachers, respectively. Twenty-five teens graduated from the program this year. They learned about a variety of health topics from sexual health to mental health and everything in between. They completed a successful community health fair on Jan 31, 2025 on the basketball court by the main soccer field in Barrio El Centro.
We have also started a zumba group for El Porvenir in 2025. Every Sunday evening at 6:30 pm we are meeting for an hour of zumba exercise. Participants get a good cardio workout while enjoying the Latin beats accompanied by strobe lighting!
Our public health programming in El Porvenir would not be possible without our many generous donors. Thank you so much!
